Do you have something like:
"It's all well and good that you love blossoms and spring so much, Kristel, but in spring I mainly suffer from hay fever."
Then maybe I have a tip for you:
Nettle and Rooibos Herbal Infusion to the rescue!

In short, an allergic reaction is your immune system overreacting and producing histamines, which in turn causes the typical allergy symptoms.
Now, Nettle has an anti-histamine effect, which can reduce your symptoms. Maybe it will work for you too! My dad is already a loyal drinker of this infusion :).
Nettle is also a cleansing and mineral-rich herb, so you will definitely benefit from it. Because of the nettle, this infusion is diuretic, so you may also have to go to the toilet more often. Therefore, drink enough water in addition to this infusion.
Please note: Nettle and Rooibos are safe herbs. But as always, if you suddenly start using larger amounts of certain herbs (even 'safe' herbs!): always ask your doctor or pharmacist first if you have a medical condition, are taking medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding. There is a big difference between drinking a sporadic cup or a liter of infusion of a certain herb every day.
Recipe:
Nettle Rooibos mixture:
For 1 liter of tea:
With this mixture you can make a liter of herbal infusion every day, which can be quite strong:
Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of the nettle rooibos mixture with 1 liter of freshly boiled water.
For example, you can make the infusion in the evening, let it steep overnight and drink it the next day. If you want to drink the tea the same day, let it steep for at least half an hour (the longer the better).
You can certainly leave the herbs in your infusion all day to let them steep further. But if your infusion is not finished after 24 hours, then filter it, and then put the infusion in the refrigerator for safety.
* You can buy loose Rooibos and Nettle in your local health/organic store. If you don't know where to go, feel free to send me an email, I have some there too :)
And of course you can also pick nettle yourself! If you want to make tea from it, let the nettle dry first. Dry herb gives off much more ingredients to the water than fresh herb (so not like in the photo above).

And did you know that Reishi is also said to help with allergies because it has an antihistamine effect and regulates your immune system?
Sometimes it takes a bit of searching to find what works for you, we are all different.
